A lot of work goes into writing a book, making sure it’s good enough to be published, finding a willing publisher, and then getting it out there. There are also tons of resources to help with that part of the journey, offering advice and walking you through every step of the way if that’s what you desire.
But what comes next?
A Day in Fall has been available to the public for two weeks. To be honest, I haven’t looked at sales figures or bugged my publisher about how it’s doing, but I’m committed to doing everything I can to continue this journey and make A Day in Fall as commercially successful as it can possibly be.

Book reviews are insanely helpful for improving visibility and doing well with the algorithms that dictate eCommerce. If you’ve bought A Day in Fall, read it, or just want to do me a HUGE favor, leave me a review on Amazon or Goodreads (or both). But if you read the book and didn’t like it then just ignore that last part.
Spreading the word by word of mouth to friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family members is great too! And I really appreciate everything people have done like sharing my posts of Instagram and Facebook. It’s been a huge help.

MERCHANDISE
I’m working with Printful to create a line of ready-to-order merchandise inspired by A Day in Fall. I’m talking shirts, pullovers, socks, mugs, thermoses, tote bags, phone cases, and notebooks. Nothing gaudy or cheap. The goal is to have a lineup of items that 1. Will support what I’m trying to do and 2. Won’t make you feel like a dork for wearing/using them. UPCOMING EVENTS
The big retailers do most of the heavy lifting when it comes to book sales these days, but I’m eager to get A Day in Fall into as many independent and local bookstores as possible. So far Park Road Books has agreed to sell it, and I’m in contact with a handful of other stores.
I’m also working with The Urban Reader to set up a book signing event in Charlotte, NC (time and date TBD). I’d like to do other readings, signings, and events in Greenville, SC, Charlotte, and the surrounding areas. It would be really fun and I want to engage with as many readers in person as possible.
